Blog | Aidan Liebenberg thrilled to start the season

Hey everyone,

The first race of the year is done and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The Spanish GP's are always amazing and it was amazing to be part of it. It is an experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Me and my dad

The Jerez weekend was tough once again and I could not achieve the results that I hoped for. The tension was always going to be high at the first race, but now I feel more comfortable in the team and it will be better for the upcoming races. I think that we had some ups and downs, but I am still at the back end of the field and I definitely want to be more competitive in Mugello.

The rider coaches has helped me a lot and it is great to have them in the team helping us all the way.

We improved a lot from the test up until now, but unfortunately it is not good enough at the moment and I will have to improve my performance. I am a competitive person and it can sometimes be demoralising not to achieve the results what you wanted, but that is part of racing and I have to focus on the upcoming races. I am working hard to improve myself as a rider and we are also trying to work on the things that we are struggling with.

We have worked hard the last few weeks and I think that I improved a lot, especially in certain areas that I struggled with. It makes me excited to see improvements in my riding and it motivates me for the race in Mugello. This championship pushes you really hard and it forces you to improve yourself to be able to perform better.

I am super exited about Mugello. It has always been one of my favourite tracks and I am super exited to ride it for the first time. I am determined and motivated to get good results in Mugello.

See you guys soon!
