"This year I want to be Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup champion and Asia Talent Cup champion. Then I want to be a MotoGP rider soon, following excellent results this year."

"My best race was in the Qatar round of the Asia talent Cup in the beginning of 2017 because even though I did not win I was able to race perfectly as I planned."

In 2016 I made the course record of GP3 class in Motegi and Suzuka in other championships.

"In 2016 I learned many tactics in the battle and my best race was in the Asia talent Cup in Motegi because I overtook on the last lap in the last corner to take 2nd place. That corner is my favourite of all."

The incredible Red Bull Ring battle - 2017

My best race in 2017 was Race1 in Austria where I was battling for the lead and finished third," asserts Ryusei who had also been third in Race 2 in Brno the previous weekend. It was a thrilling race at the Red Bull Ring with Ryusei only losing out at the final corner and an all Japanese podium, he was fourth on the Sunday and fourth again in the final race of teh season in Aragon, sixth overall for the year.

Looking a bit serious on the podium in Austria with Ai Ogura (1st) and Kazuki Masaki - 2017

"I learned about the character and battle of the KTM bike in 2017. I could recognize my good points and bad points, so I could prepare very well in the off season for 2018. I aim to avoid crash, win races, and be the champion!"
