Dan has been brought up in a racing family and his racing heros are Marc Marquez and Chaz Davies.

Llandow Circuit minimoto 2013

"I became interested in racing watching my Dad race. Since the age of 2 I was familiar with a racing paddock."

With Dad and younger brothers at Donington Park in 2012

"My Dad is my hero, he gave up his racing to fund mine. He became my coach and my Crew Chief."

Getting advice from Dad in Assen 2014

"My Mum and two younger brothers have sacrificed a lot so we could fund my racing and get me to where I am."

GP70 Llandow in 2014 - lap record holder here

"I would like to become the best that I can be. I'd like to make a living out of what I have a passion for and to reach MotoGP would be my dream achievement."

"My favourite subject at school is business."

On the highest hill in the Clwydian Range, Moel Famau

"When I'm not racing I like to cycle, do circuit training, swimming and football."

On the Moriwaki in 2014

"I have learnt that the race is what counts, in 2015 I broke my arm in free practice. In 2016 I learnt that your maximum always goes in during the race, not Friday practice."

Rowrah CRF150 in 2015 - first time on a bike after injury

"My best race ever was at the 2016 Snetterton 300 race at BSB round 5. After coming in on the sighting lap when my brake fluid reservoir snapped I had to start from pit lane. I worked my way through to win the race and take the lead of the Championship, my third win in a row."

Snetterton in the Standard Moto3 Cup 2016 - started from pit lane and won the race

"My style suits the more fast and flowing tracks, where you have to be smooth. I get the most satisfaction out of fast swooping corners."

"The thing that gives me the most satisfaction in racing is the hard work off the track that you put in, with school, training, preparing and working with the team. To do all this and end up with a good result really is the best feeling, it's a proud moment."

Thruxton Standard Moto3 Cup 2016 - won both races by over 25 seconds

For his first Rookies Cup Season Dan had a clear idea of what he wanted to do. "In 2017 I would like to have a progressive year, I would like to start off with getting comfortable with the change of competition and bike. I would like a couple top 10 finishes towards the end of the season."

Rookies Cup Selection Guadix 2016 first day on track

Unfortunately injurries outside of Rookies Cup wrecked his year and he was only fit right at the end so enjoyed most his rides in a couple of non Rookies events. "In 2017 I was fortunate enough to be given an opportunity to ride in the Junior World Championship with the Racing Steps Foundation team. It was a difficult year, adapting to a new style and a whole new competition and bike."

Junior World Championship 2017

"My best result of the year was at Catalunya, where I finished 13th and only 14 seconds off the win. My personal favourite round was the final round at Valencia, where I qualified in 23rd but only 0.9 seconds off pole position. After injuries in 2017 hindered my season, I came back to have a strong finish to the year." In the Rookies Cup he finished teh year 21st with his best result 10th in Assen 2. Not a reflection of his ability.

Rookies Cup 2017

"In 2018 I am looking to have a strong season, I am hoping to improve on my results from last year and show what I am capable of. I will work hard and focus on achieving my goals in 2018, hopefully I can have a positive season!"
