In the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup at Assen in the Netherlands! Race1 I was able to get on the podium with 3rd position.
I missed taking the start. But one rider went off alone after the first lap.
I tried to catch the top rider but it took me time to get into the front of the chasing group and by then the leader was away off on his own.
In the middle of the race, I could close to gap a little but I was also in a battle myself and could not get away from the second group so I couldn't go after the leader on my own.
In the last lap my placing strategy was OK and I could get my first podium in this year.
But I really regret not doing a little better because 2nd was possible, one rider overtook me, I tried to get him back but couldn't.
Then Race 2 was a DNF
I tried to take the hole shot as I had learnt the lesson from the day before and I concentrated very hard at the start. I didn't quite get the hole shot but the start was not bad and going into the first corner I took the lead.
Then I dropped a position but was in the battle for the lead. I was watching for Can to make a move then I would follow him and go after him to win the race. Then he got in front and tried to make a gap I went after him.
I couldn't smoothly pass the front rider in our group, I had to push very hard and I lost the front and slid off. That was very regrettable.
So I will do good image training for the German round at the Sachsenring, and I try to get win.
