After the first race of the season at the Jerez circuit, we had to travel to Italy, specifically to the Mugello circuit.
Let's do two races, one on Saturday and another on Sunday, but in Italy we only have the race on Saturday.
This circuit was totally new for me, I had already commented that it was not easy track, it was also very fast with a long straight. On Thursday when I got to the circuit I had the "track walk" with my mates and from there I could see that the reason why the one that had explained it, besides I saw that the circuit had a lot of unevenness.
In the free practices I went from less to more. With the help of Santi, suspension technician, the bike was getting better and better.
Already in the Qualy I achieved the 7th position for the starting grid.
In the race I felt comfortable both with the bike and with the circuit. It was a big group race and I was in the front group for practically the whole race, even managing to lead it.
The end was a little crazy many slipstreams, many overtakings and finally finished in the 5th position.
I want to thank all the staff of the Red Bull Rookies MotoGP Cup, but especially to Dani Ribalta and Gustl for their advice, to Santi Morralla for giving me some suspension capable of winning races and my mechanic Nico Rus for having the bike always ready.
See you soon in Holland,
