I'm ready for Brno and the races in Sachsenring were a great motivation for me. Let me tell you what happened in Germany :)
The East of Germany has strange weather and it always surprises me. You never know when and how long it will rain.
This time we decided to change our strategy. We were going to be less aggressive but more patient. Of course we need to find the correct settings for the bike. This Cup teaches me a lot about settings, about how to be a team member and Red Bull MotoGP Rookies cup is a really serious and hardcore series.
We have more difficulties than Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP because we didn't have enough time to practice and find the right settings for that particular racetrack. So we needed to improvise and find the right way with endless help of the Red Bull technical team.
As in Mugello and Assen, after the first FP it started raining. No, I'm sorry it's not rain!! It's like having shower under the Niagara Falls :-)
So the second FP and QP was cancelled...
There were no settings nor strategy left for the race but thanks to Dani and Gustl I figured out how to ride on that track. Of course I was racing in that track before in R6 Cup but with a totally different race mood and with a totally different bike!!.
So the race started and I was in the first group. The battle was incredible because all of us wanted the podium and there could be only two more places for us because Pagliani was very fast and we didn't have any chance to catch him.
But...He made a mistake and we started fighting for The National Anthem. For the first time I won at a GP :-)
The Second day was more stressful for me because of the trophy from the previous day. Now others are aware of my strategy and they were ready to fight.
After the start I felt that my bike was not the same as it was the day before and I couldn't control it as I wanted. I lost the first group and everything was meaningless after that point. I was 6 second behind of the first group and 9 seconds ahead of others.
On the 12th lap front tire slipped and I crashed... I was very lucky because the engine kept running and I could continue but the group behind me caught me and I found myself in a situation of fighting for the 6th position.
After one lap My mechanic showed to me P3!!...I said to my self that "I'm too tired" and it is actually P8 but next lap I saw the same sign; P3...And he was shaking his free arm like crazy.
I didn't realise that the front group crashed :))
The podium is two laps away from me and of course i want to reach there very much.
Finally I did my best and the podiuuuum was just there :))
Two triumphant days, two trophies...Thank you to all.
