G’day everyone,

My weekend at Sachsenring for the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup was a very good weekend for me as I got to experience and learn a lot of new skills.

Free practice 1: I finished 8th and got the feeling for the track straight away.

Qualifying 1: I found a good setup for the bike thanks to Santi and the WP men and finished in 6th position.

Qualifying 2: I improved my lap time again and finished in 6th place, my best qualifying for the season and on the second row of the grid.

Race 1: I made a really good start and made it into the first corner first and I got to experience leading a Rookies race. But I got a bit exited and on the 7th lap and crashed while in 7th place.

Race 2: I also made a really good start, I was 2nd into the first corner but I was riding to aggressively and dropped back to 12th place. I changed my riding style to suit the bike and started to find a good rhythm and started passing people every lap and at the end of the race I finished in 5th position. I am very happy about that.

Thank you to all of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup crew for helping me improve every race and also a big thanks to the German crowd the atmosphere was awesome. I am looking forward to Brno.

See you at the races Olly #45
