Last weekend was the 4th event in Brno and for me it was a quite special weekend because I had big problems but also great results.
In the first free practice it was completely wet but in wet conditions I feel very comfortable and second position was really good. In the second free practice it was dry and I tried to improve the bike to get a good setup for the qualifying.
But in the qualifying I got a technical problem on the bike and it wasn't reparable during the session, so I had to take the spare bike. But the setup wasn't for me and it was way to hard to ride this bike.
I crashed two times because I didn't get any feeling with it and every time I tried to push a little bit more I went down in the gravel. So I couldn't go for a fast lap and I had to start in both races from the last position.
In the first race I made a really good start and already after the first lap I was 10th. Some laps later I got 7th and I closed the gap to the front group. But because of the hot temperatures my tyres were damaged quickly and it was very slippery. So I had to slow down a bit to not crash.
In the last couple of laps I tried to push again because the front group was fighting really much and I closed the gap again. In the last lap I caught the group and I overtook one rider, so I finished 6th.
It was a great race: starting from last and finished on position 6!
The second race was really wet. I had again a good start but in the first lap in the group I couldn't see anything because of so much spray. I overtook many riders and after some laps I get second position behind Deniz Öncü.
I followed him and also I took the lead for some laps. But at the end I had some slides and Deniz was to far away to overtake him again, so I took this second position. I was really happy to be again on the podium after the rain race Sachsenring. But I'am also improving in the dry and I definitely can fight for the podium in the front group.
Now I'm preparing myself for next weekend in Spielberg on the Red Bull Ring. I enjoy this track because last year I get 5th there, what was one of my best results.
See you there,
