Blog | Jordan stopped because he couldn't stop in Misano | 2013

Hi all,

Well, all packed and ready for our trip to Aragon. Can’t believe that this is the last Rookie race of the season – hope its a real good one!!

Not much to report on at the moment except that Misano turned out to be a real disappointment for me. I was running really well and felt I had the pace to get a good position but for some reason lap after lap my front brake just got spongier and spongier. Eventually they were so soft I could pull the lever in real close to the handlebar and I just wasn’t slowing down fast enough. So for safety sake as much as I hated doing it I had to call it a day and pull in, better to save myself and the bike to race another day.

Also had a disappointing BSB race at Assen. Qualified 4th on the grid but got a poor start and on the first lap was in 9th chasing a real fast pack in front of me. I Worked my way into 3rd with 2 flying Dutch riders in first and second. Got bumped by another Dutch rider and lost 3 places. Got on the gas to try and catch up and get my position back, overcooked it, front end tucked and into the Kitty Litter. I hope this weekend will go a lot better for me.

My very best regards to all Red Bull competitors and staff. It has been a great year so far, a fantastic experience being with you guys.

Bye for now – see you in Aragon
