Enzo fighting through from the back in Aragon

Hello everybody,

The 8th and final round of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup took place on the beautiful circuit of Motorland Aragon. This weekend the climatic conditions were perfect until Sunday with the arrival of the rain.

Friday: During the first free practice, I rapidly got a good pace. I repeated rapid laps in order to recover my marks on the track. Even though the bike setting wasn’t really optimal I finished at the 11th position.

For the second free practice, I tried to follow some riders to understand where I can be faster but without success. It’s a pity because I had a good feeling with the new setting but this gave me confidence for the qualifications.

I started qualifying practice in a good group. I used slipstream to make a good first run but unfortunately I crashed after three laps. The bike wasn’t so damage but the track marshal didn’t allow me to continue the practice. I would have to start from the penultimate last place of grid for the two races of the weekend.

Saturday: The first race had been a little bit difficult. I didn’t start really well but I pushed hard to reach the 12th position. During the last lap, I was first of my group but I couldn’t increase the enough gap to be safe. Two riders took advantage of my slipstream in the last straight and overtook me in the entry of the last corner. I finished at the 14th position which is not too bad because I took two more points for the championship.

Sunday: The second race took place in wet conditions. I started again from the 23rd position but I managed to get to the 7th position after only 8 laps. Then, I fell down because I touched a white line on the exit of a corner. The bike wasn’t too damage so I got back on the track at the 16th position and finished 11th.

Many thanks to the whole Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup staff which helped me a lot this year and gave me the chance to come back in 2015. Thanks to my father and Romain my mechanic helper for their work and personal investment and also to all the people that helped us this season.
